Topic 3: Celebrating Multicultural Scientists and Inventors Through Hands-On Science
Program Description:
This empowering workshop is designed to introduce, highlight and reinforce the important contributions
made to science and technology by scientists and inventors from diverse backgrounds. The workshop
features hands-on science demonstrations, with Historical Perspectives on the scientists and inventors
that influenced the science behind these experiments. The ultimate goal of this workshop is to provide
teachers with resources, strategies and best practices on how to integrate multicultural
perspectives into their Science Core Curriculum.
Target Audience: Grades K-8 & 9-12
Duration: 2 hours, Half day or Full Day Workshops
